Introduction

Have you ever heard of global warming? It makes all the icebergs melt, leaving no space for polar bears and penguins. It causes forest fires, killing hundreds of people and trees. Animals are forced to flee from their homes and eventually die. Yet all of these terrible happenings trace back to our very factories and cars, which release warming gases and carbon into the air.

Reason 1 - Ozone Loss

My first reason is that it is destroying the ozone layer. Google says, "Since the 1960s, there has been a trend of increasing warming of the lower atmosphere and a cooling of the upper atmosphere. This warming-cooling dynamic creates conditions that lead to ozone loss."

Reason 2 - Extreme Weather

My second reason is that it causes extreme weather. So we can't go out without being hit by a storm. More rain, more floods and more droughts are caused by warm weather. Droughts are sudden periods of dry and hot weather.

Reason 3 - Air Pollution

My final reason is that it makes our air polluted. The carbon dioxide also is playing a part in it. Pollution means making our air dirty; it is also happening because of many other things.

Predators and prey of an arctic tern

We are running out of time. We need to stop global warming. You can do this by using windmills, using electric stuff v.s. things that use gasoline and not cutting down trees. Let's save our earth! And it doesn't only have to be on Earth Day.

Conclusion

I hope you liked learning about why we should stop global warming.
